It looks like one can build almost everything with java script from Web apps, mobile apps with React Native and now with Electron.js we can build desktop apps too.
Yes. At least, for now. Sadly!
However, as is always the case in these ‘which language wins’ things, none of what we think actually matters.
- Web Browsers
- Web application servers (the famous Node.js, and others)
- Cross platform Desktop Applications
- Smart watches
- Raspberry Pi
- Modern Cars
- Anything at all with Android, iOS, Linux or Windows in it
- Probably your telly.
- There’s a good chance even your WiFi controlled LED lightbulb runs it …
Given a programming language no-one can avoid, should we learn it?
